Dear Friend of Preservation,

As the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation comes to the end of another successful, yet unusual year, we want to thank you for your ongoing support to the historic preservation effort in Louisiana! As 2020 comes to a close, LTHP staff and board members hope that you and your loved ones have remained safe and well throughout the year. The Louisiana Trust has adapted to keep our educational and advocacy mission strong working with partners in every corner of the state. Here are just a few projects that your membership and donations continue to support:

  • Adapting our in-person conference into a new on-going YouTube video series
  • Collaborating and advocating to get an extension to the Louisiana Commercial Tax for historic rehabilitations, now extended through 2025
  • Announcing 11 new Most Endangered Places in June ranging from an early Creole cottage trading post to a Gulf of Mexico lighthouse to a rural mid-20th century school
  • Launching a statewide outreach effort to inventory, survey, and document the status of nearly 400 Rosenwald Schools built in Louisiana
  • Continuing to update digital resources on www.lthp.org including a growing directory of historic sites and museums in Louisiana including sites with virtual tours for distance learning

Please join the Louisiana Trust today during #GivingTuesday2020 by making a donation to our end-of-year campaignjoining or renewing your membership, or sharing your support through a holiday gift membership with loved ones (register in their name and contact information and we'll mail out their offical membership card and letter).  Your support can make the difference between lost and restored

Sincerely,

The Board & Staff of The Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation
